On 2nd January Young Aviator Ross Brodie flew 16 different aircraft types solo on the first day he was allowed to, his 16th Birthday. This incredible feat broke the world record for the number of aircraft flown solo for the first time on a 16th. The previous record was 11 aircraft types soloed.

Ross flew a mixture of aircraft, from a Vintage DH Tiger Moth Biplane to a basic Quicksilver Microlight and everything in between.
